Peasant Cookery
Nestled in the heart of the exchange district, we are a chef driven scratch based high volume kitchen. To help us with our goals of achieving a menu rebrand we are looking for a super star to join our management team to help Peasant provide honest food from the land.
Sous Chef
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, self driven, team orientated, with attention to detail, loves to cook and looking for the next step in their cooking career.
Responsibilities
Sous Chef is a hands-on role that is part of the management team that ensure the kitchen team is working smoothly and following recipes, standards, ensuring food orders are prepared accurately, efficiently and on time.
Sous Chef works primarily with Chef to facilitate the vision and standards of Peasant Cookery to all staff but also with the front of house management and other service staff to ensure a smooth flow of orders from the kitchen to the table. A successful candidate will be accountable for day-to-day service responsibilities, training and mentoring of staff and ensure production of delicious food to our guests.

• Basic food knowledge, with a drive to learn and grow
• Technical understanding of line-cook responsibilities.
• Team orientated
• Creative and driven.
• Minimum of 3 years of line cooking experience
• Minimum of 1 years of Sous Chef experience
• Food handlers (willingness to achieve).
