Job Description
Are you an energetic, positive, and dependable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment? The City of Summerside is seeking Customer Service Representatives to join our team at the Summerside Dome and Active Living Summerside. In this role, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for residents and visitors. Your work will support daily operations at both facilities, from assisting with bookings and registrations to supporting events, programs, and community activities. This position offers variety, meaningful community interaction, and the opportunity to contribute to active, healthy living in Summerside.
Reporting to: Scheduling & Recreation Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service in a professional and friendly manner
- Support daily operations through administrative and front desk duties
- Process registrations, bookings, and payments for programs and facility rentals
- Accurately handle cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Operate POS systems and other computer-based platforms
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Assist with the delivery of programs, events, and community activities • Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Qualifications and Competencies: •
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work under pressure
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to customer service
- Dependable with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is considered an asset
- Experience handling cash and POS systems is considered an asset
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

Hours of Work:

- $17.00-$19.00 per hour (based on experience)
