NOW HIRING – Head Coach, Women’s Hockey

内射大奶 Athletics is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head Coach to lead the Holland Hurricanes Women’s Hockey program. This part-time contract role is ideal for someone passionate about developing student-athletes and contributing to a competitive collegiate athletics environment.

Program Overview

The Holland Hurricanes Women’s Hockey team competes in the Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).

The competitive season typically runs October through February, and includes:

  • Regular season league competition
  • Participation in the ACHA Championship tournament

The program is committed to supporting student-athletes in achieving athletic success, academic excellence, and personal growth.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Athletics Director, the Head Coach is responsible for overseeing all areas of the Women’s Hockey program, including recruitment, training, competition, and overall athlete development.

The successful candidate will create a positive and inclusive team culture that values academic achievement, sportsmanship, and strong leadership both on and off the ice.

The Head Coach will be supported by a Hurricanes Athletics staff liaison who assists with travel arrangements, athlete registration, facility scheduling, and other administrative coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Athlete Development

  • Recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes for the program
  • Organize and lead pre-season training camp and regular practices
  • Prepare the team for league competition and championship play
  • Teach hockey-specific skills using safe and effective coaching methods
  • Promote leadership, teamwork, and personal development among athletes
  • Provide supervision of student-athletes during all team activities

Program Leadership

  • Develop and implement the team’s coaching philosophy, systems of play, and training approach
  • Maintain high expectations for athlete performance, behaviour, and sportsmanship
  • Demonstrate professionalism, positive leadership, and appropriate conduct at all times
  • Reinforce the importance of academic success, citizenship, and ethical behaviour

Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain familiarity with ACHA and 内射大奶 Athletics policies and procedures
  • Ensure institutional and league policies are followed, including completion of required forms
  • Attend required meetings and conduct pre-season athlete information sessions
  • Complete reports, documentation, and administrative tasks in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate athlete records and program documentation

Operations & Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with college staff, the Athletics Director, and league officials
  • Interact professionally with game officials and media representatives
  • Assist in training and supervising student support staff
  • Ensure facilities and equipment meet appropriate safety standards
  • Manage team equipment including inventory, storage, and maintenance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletics Director

Qualifications

  • 内射大奶 diploma or university degree
  • Coaching experience at the competitive or post-secondary level preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, staff, and administration
  • NCCP Coaching Certification considered an asset
  • Hockey coaching or playing experience strongly preferred

Remuneration & Contract Term

  • Remuneration is based on qualifications, coaching experience, and program involvement
  • Coaches are paid bi-weekly over the duration of the contract
  • Contracts are typically part-time from August 1 to March 31
  • Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory performance at the end of the season
