ÄÚÉä´óÄÌ is accepting applications To Create a List of qualified individuals to fill term Clinical Supervisor positions in our Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant program located in Charlottetown. Positions will be filled on an as needed basis. 

The Clinical Supervisor provides strong leadership, guidance and support to the occupational therapist assistant students to ensure safe, effective, patient-centered care.  The Clinical Supervisor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Orienting students to the clinical setting.
• Preparing appropriate clinical assignments.
• Providing clinical supervision to students by reviewing student’s organization plans, discussing client’s plan of care and reviewing student’s time management when organizing care plans, and reviewing best practice guidelines on an on-going basis.
• Evaluating clinical performance with timely feedback and assisting students to apply knowledge and critical thinking skills when caring for clients in this setting.
• Fostering cooperation and collaboration with other Learning Managers in the program and the LTC facility staff, residents and partners in care.

• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy (OT).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in use of computers and electronic documentation.
• Ability to effectively engage with a wide variety of individuals and create dynamic learning environments.
• Previous experience as a clinical educator/instructor will be considered an asset.
